This Draft European Standard specifies the requirements for Type Approval Installation Trials (TAIT's) for use by producers designing and manufacturing surface dressing to meet product performance specifications. A TAIT is used by the producer to provide confidence in his product and his capability. In order to carry out a TAIT the producer shall have a Factory Production Control System to prEN 12271-10 in place. The producer may then issue a TAIT Certificate containing the information detailed in this standard. The. TAIT Certificate is a necessary requirement to entitle the producer to affix the CE-marking for surface dressing and for convenience the TAIT summary may be used as the CE-marking. The producer will provide TAIT Certificates for the type of work he intends to carry out.
