scope:

Specifies requirements for the safety, performance, classification and labelling of matches, together with their match containers, available to the general public. It gives - the necessary tests to establish compliance with these requirements; - a sampling procedure to enable the selection of individual matches and match containers for test; - an acceptable quality level for matches and match containers within a sample which fail to comply with the test. It relates the acceptable quality level to the category of hazard considered to result from failure to comply with the requirements.
