scope:

Gives guidance on writing the technical specification for the procurement of, in principle, to any pump used in a power-generating plant (outside the nuclear island of nuclear power plants). It primarily addresses the pumps important for the availability of the plant. This includes: - the feed water pumps (including the star-up and booster pumps), - the condensate pumps and condensate booster pumps, - the condenser cooling water pumps, - the boiler circulation pumps, - the heater drains pumps, - the water recirculation pumps of the different systems; feedwater tank, exhaust gases coolers etc., - the cooling service water pumps.
