scope:
Deals with the safety of electrically heated gullies for de-icing the inlet of the drainage system of flat roofs, balconies, and similar structures. The rated voltage is not more than 250 V.
This standard however, in general, does not take into account the use of appliances by
- persons (including children) whose
* physical, sensory or mental capabilities; or
* lack of experience and knowledge
prevent them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction;
- children playing with the appliance.
