Introduces the overall structure of the specification of the OSI TP profiles. This includes: the identification of the Transaction Processing profiles defined in this document, together with the Transaction Processing Profiles Tree; the identification of the various parts which constitute this International standardized Profile; the list of the references to ohter standards relevant to the definition of the OSI TP profiles; the definitions and abbreviations used through the various parts of this International Standardized Profile.
