This specification will describe the general use of XML technology as applied to TPEG applications and establish a method of top level container to encapsulate messages with an additional layer of message management required by internet servers and clients to ensure best bandwidth utilisation. tpegML will allow individual application messages (eg TPEG-RTM and TPEG-PTI) to be packaged for delivery as files or objects (rather than as byte streams).
