scope:
This standard describes the sample preparation of grass for the purpose of radioactivity measurements. It applies to the examination of grass, starting from grass sampled in accordance with NVN 5624. The method described is suitable for emergencies but can also be used for background monitoring. After the sample preparation described in this standard the sample is ready for various measurements, e.g. measurement of the gamma radioactivity (NVN 5623 or NVN 5629), or for measurement of specific radionuclides (e.g. NVN 5637).
