Electrical Installations – Periodic Verification
|Publication Date:||5 November 2007|
This Standard sets out the requirements for periodic verification of existing electrical installations which are connected to a low voltage a.c. supply system (exceeding 50 V a.c. but not exceeding 1000 V a.c.).
Verification, by inspection and/or testing is intended, as far as reasonably practicable, to determine whether the installation and all its constituent equipment is in a safe condition for continued use.
NOTE - Inspection and testing to this Standard should provide evidence that the installation complies with the relevant requirements at the time of construction of the installation.
This Standard does not apply to the periodic verification of the following electrical installations:
(a) Installations designed and constructed to the AS/NZS 3000 provisions relating to specific design and installation. Refer to the verification specification prepared for the installation as required by AS/NZS 3000;
