NEN 10534-8-3

Industrial-process control valves - Part 8: Noise considerations - Section 3: Control valve aerodynamic noise prediction method

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 November 1995
Status: inactive
Page Count: 8
ICS Code (Pressure regulators): 23.060.40
ICS Code (Noise emitted by machines and equipment): 17.140.20
scope:

Establishes a theoretical method to predict the external sound-pressure level generated in a control valve by the flow of compressible fluids. This method considers only single-phase dry gases and vapours and is based on the perfect gas laws. Deals only with noise generated by aerodynamic processes in valves and in the connected piping. Any noise generated by reflections, mechanical vibrations, unstable flowpatterns, and other unpredictable behaviour is not considered.
