Thermocouples - Part 1: Reference tables

inactive
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 September 1980
Status: inactive
ICS Code (Temperature-measuring instruments): 17.200.20
ICS Code (Industrial process measurement and control): 25.040.40
scope:

This standard provides thermocouples reference tables for use in converting thermocouple voltages into their measured temperatures and vice versa. The polynominal equations from which the tables are derived have been included in the Appendix, hence no tolerances are given. Any error obtained by using these equations directly will be less than one in the last place. This standard is based upon the International Practical Temperature Scale of 1968 (IPTS-68). Temperatures are expressed in degrees Celcius (symbol t68. The tables which it contains are derived from experimental work carried out by the National Research Council (Canada), the National Bureau of Standards (USA), the National Physical Laboratory (UK), and are not dependent upon any particular values of the secondary reference points included with IPTS-68.
