The ISO standard for OSI NSAP addressing (ISO/IEC 8348) specifies a number of formats of OSI NSAP address and establishes. One of the address formats is the ISO DCC format; and, for that format specifically, ISO/IEC 8348 allocates a portion of the global address space to the Netherlands and assigns responsibility for the sub-allocation of that portion, within the Netherlands, to NNI as the National P-member of ISO. Under the provision of clause 5 of this standard, NNI acts as Dutch Registration Authority (NLRA) to administer this allocation.
