scope:
This standard describes a method for the gravimetric determination of the suplhate content of water in boiling plants. The standard applies to any sort of water in boiling plants with a sulphate content of at least 10 mg/l. If the sample contains more than 5 mg phosphate, 50 mg calcium, 5 mg nitrate or 50 mg iron this will interfere with the determination.
