Plastics pipes and fittings for soil and waste water purposes - Elevated temperature cycling test - Test method for air tightness

inactive
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 November 2001
Status: inactive
Page Count: 5
ICS Code (Drainage systems): 91.140.80
ICS Code (Plastics fittings): 23.040.45
ICS Code (Plastics pipes): 23.040.20
scope:

This standard specifies a method for the determination of the behaviour of plastics pipes and fittings if they, arranged as a disposal system, are subjected to a flow of alternating hot and cold water in accordance with a set cycle. The test conditions have been chosed such that they create loads in the test setup comparable to those expected in sewage systems used in buildings into which ordinary household appliances empty their waste water. The standard applies to the assessment and the durability of plastics pipes and fittings intended for the construction of sewage systems inside buildings, as well as to the tightness of the joints present in the systems mentioned.
