pending, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 August 1994
Status: pending
Page Count: 10
ICS Code (Gas supply systems): 91.140.40
scope:

This standard specifies the requirements and test methods for the following additional features: start-gas flow controls, modulating valves, closed position indicator switches and proof of closure switches on electrically operated automatic gas shut-off valves which are in accordance with EN 161 "Automatic Shut-Off Valves for Gas Burners and Gas Appliances". These requirements, which are additional to EN 161, apply to valves where the burner start-gas flow rate is electrically controlled by the burner management system after having been pre-set, and to valves where the flow rate can be achieved by the false responding to external electrical signals, either in discrete steps (e.g. high/low) or proportional to the applied signal.
