Describes a field method for the assessment of moisture, usually caused by condensation of water, on steel surfaces prior to application of paint. The method can be used on flat ans slightly curved horizontal and vertical surfaces. The assessment should not be done on surfaces that are exposed to any falling water, e.g. rain, or condensation. The lowest surface moisture (water) level that can be detected by the method is 4 g/m².
