This standard contains requirements and test methods for red lead pigments. The standard applies to the red lead pigment for use in paint. Two types are distinguished: non-setting red lead and red lead with a high degree of dispersion. The test methods are mainly intended for cases for arbitration. They concern the original pigment and can only under some restrictions be applied to pigments, precipitated from combinations with vehicles.
