This International Standard specifies procedures for moulding polystyrene (PS) to obtain standard specimens in a specified state and methods for measuring their properties. No figures are quoted for these properties. Those required for the designation of PS are given in ISO 1622-1. Values for other properties may be obtained from manufacterers' leaflets. They may be directly compared if the procedures described herein for the preparation of the specimens and the determination of the properties are followed.
