scope:
Forms a part of IEC 92 which deals with electrical installations in sea-going ships, incorporates good practice and co-ordinates as far as possible existing rules. Applies to switchgear and controlgear assemblies and components, with rated voltages up to and including 1 kV a.c. or 1,2 kV d.c. for use in ships. Includes special definitions and additional requirements to IEC 92, which mainly relate to design and construction, tests and instruments for generators.
