This European Standard describes the procedures used to determine the carbonation rate of a concrete expressed in mm/√year. This European Standard describes the procedure where a standardized storage chamber is used and where specimens are placed on a natural, but protected from direct rainfall exposure site. The standardized storage chamber procedure is the reference method. These procedures are suitable for the initial testing of concrete, but they are not appropriate for factory production control.
