scope:

Part 1 (EN 13031-1) is related to the commercial production of greenhouses used for the professional production of plants and crops with limited access for authorized personnel only. This standard describes principles, requirements and procedures for the design of greenhouses and gives recommendations for classes and categories, where CEN member states can make their own qualified choice via a National Annex to EN 13031-1. It also contains country specific climatic or other local reference values for actions, such as wind, snow, temperatures, and earthquake and load combinations.
