NEN-EN 758

Welding consumables - Tubular cored electrodes for metal arc welding with and without a gas shield of non alloy and fine grain steels - Classification

inactive, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 March 1997
Status: inactive
Page Count: 18
ICS Code (Welding consumables): 25.160.20
scope:

Specifies requirements for classification of tubular cored electrodes in the as-welded condition for metal arc welding with or without gas shield of carbon steels, carbon-manganese steels and micro alloyed steels with a minimum yield strength of up to 500 N/mm² . One tubular cored electrode may be tested and classified with different gases. It is recognized that the operating characteristics of tubular cored electrodes can be modified by the use of pulsed current, but for the purposes of this standard, pulsed current is not used for determining the electrode classification.
