Oilseeds - Simultaneous determination of oil and moisture contents - Method using pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry

inactive
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 February 1997
Status: inactive
ICS Code (Oilseeds): 67.200.20
scope:

Specifies a rapid method for the determination of the oil and moisture contents of commercial oilseeds. Applies to rapeseed with a moisture content of less than 10%. For seeds with higher moisture contents, drying is necessary before the oil content can be determined. This method is currently used for soya beans and sunflower seeds. This does not, however, preclude its applicability to other commercial seeds, the oil of which is liquid at the temperature of measurement.
