Extraction analysis for determining the percentage by mass of matter soluble in cold water. For most of these raw materials the hot extraction method and the cold extraction method will give different results, and it is therefore essential to state clearly in the test report that this specified method has been used. Dispersing of a test portion in water, filtration, washing, drying at 105°C and weighing of the residue.
