active, Most Current
| Organization: | NEN |
| Publication Date: | 1 February 1995 |
| Status: | active |
| Page Count: | 12 |
| ICS Code (Gaseous fuels): | 75.160.30 |
scope:
Specifies a procedure for the detection of hydrogen sulfide. The lower limit of detectability is 4 mg of hydrogen sulfide in 1 m3 of gas. Methyl mercaptain, if present, produces a transistory yellow stain on the lead acetate paper which, however, fades completely in less than 5 min. Other sulfur compounds present in the gas do not interfere with the test.
