This standard describes a method for the determination of free iron in soil samples. Free iron is iron not compounded with a silicates matrix. It concerns amorphous as well as crystalline iron compounds. The standard is applicable to soil samples pretreated according to NEN 5751. This standard is developed to meet the requirements of NEN 5753 and NEN 5754.
