This part of ISO 9250 presents alist of equivalent terms in English,French, Russian and Chineserelated to the performance anddimensions of earth-moving machinery, these terms beingthoroughly defined in otherexisting International Standards. Its purpose is to - facilitate the exchange ofinformation in the field ofearth-moving machinery,worldwide, and in particularby ensuring correct andconsistant communicationbetween users, - clarify the information flowamong professionals (sales,after-sales service, engin-eering, spare-parts distri-bution, etc.), - simplify customs operationsand statistical surveys, and - make possible translation intothe main languages used inthe different markets. The terms are presented inalphabetical order, numbered, together with the reference number of the International Standard in which each of the terms is defined.
