scope:
This standard describes the requirements and test methods for (asphalt) bitumen pipe wrapping tapes. It applies to factory-made (asphalt) bitumen tapes, intended for protection against corrosion of couplings and metal fittings to be coated in the field for metal pipework systems to be laid underground, having a working temperature of at most 30 °C. The standard also applies to (asphalt) bitumen wrappings intended to fix damaged pipe coatings.
