This standard applies to routers and trimmers. Additional definitions: Router: A tool designed to be fitted with suitable rotary cutters for cutting slots or shaping wood or other similar materials. Trimmer: A tool designed to be fitted with a suitable rotary cutter and an appropriate base for trimming and finishing the edge of plastic laminate sheet, wood veneer or the like including when they are fixed to a substrate.
