This standard specifies requirements for sensitive switches for use in electronic and electrotechnical equipment, including switches necessary to connect the supply mains. Switches covered by this standard have a maximum rated voltage not exceeding 500 V and a maximum rated current not exceeding 25 A (d.c. or a.c. r.m.s. values). The object of this standard is to establish uniform specifications and test requirements for sensitives switches and to establish rules for the preparation of detail specifications. In the event of confilct between this generic specifications and the detail specification, the requirements of the detail specification shall prevail.
