scope:
This standard states preferred electrical values for the correct interconnection in audio-visual systems. For the purpose of this standard, one part of a system is said to permit correct electrical interconnection to another part when they are so designed as to give satisfactory operation when connected together. In this context "correct interconnection" does not necessarily imply maximum power transfer between units.
