NEN 6532

Water - Titrimetric determination of the content of hydrogen carbonate, carbonate and hydroxide in water with a pH higher than 8,35

active, Most Current
Organization: NEN
Publication Date: 1 June 1986
Status: active
Page Count: 8
ICS Code (Examination of water for chemical substances): 13.060.50
scope:

This standard describes a method for the potentiometric titrations by means of a glass electrode for the determination of the content of hydrogen carbonate, carbonate and hydroxide, where the contents are determined from the results of two titrations by using equilibrium formulas. The standard applies to boiler water and drinking water with a pH higher than 8.35. The water should contain no other acid consuming components than HCO3-, CO3 and OH-.
