This part of EN 1188 specifies the procedure to be followed for determining the fire resistance of columns when fully exposed to fire on all sides. Supplementary information on this test method of test is given in annex A. A number of options are described in this part of EN 1188. In the event that the customer does not request that these options be carried out, testing only in accordance with the basic test method is required.
