This functional standard is applicable for PE gas supply systems supplying the families of gases specified in table 1 of EN 437 at pressures up to and including 10 bar. This standard is applicable for PE gas supply systems operating at temperatures between +40 °C and -20 °C and for pipe sizes up to and including 630 mm external diameter. This standard covers the materials, design, construction and testing of new PE gas supply systems and the extension of existing systems.
