scope:
This European Standard specifies requirements for the construction, performance, packaging and labelling of percussion caps for use in toys and the corresponding test methods. It is applicable to fireworks which are classified as percussion caps in category 1 in prEN 14035-2, which contain pyrotechnic composition that is based on potassium chlorate/potassium perchlorate and red phosphorous and which are contained in a primary pack or selection pack. Schemes for type testing of percussion caps and batch testing of percussion caps are specified in Annex A and Annex B respectively.
