This European Standard specifies additional requirements on the chemical composition of aluminium and aluminium alloys intended for the manufacture of packaging and packaging components, as well as related specific technical conditions of inspection and delivery. The scope of this standard is fully defined by the final application. CEN/TC 132 affirms it is policy that in the case when a patentee refuses to grant licenses on standardised standard products under reasonable and not discriminatory conditions then this product shall be removed from the corresponding standard.
