scope:

This standard defines the general requirements for inspection and testing of wrought aluminium and aluminium alloys. Particular requirements applicable to each type of wrought products are defined in EN 2070-2 to EN 2070-7. The corresponding requirements for forgings are given in EN 2082-1 to EN 2082-3. For aerospace purposes this standard shall be applied in conjunction with EN material standards unless otherwise specified on the drawing, order or inspection schedule. By agreement between the purchaser and the manufacturer, it may also be applied to other material, semi-finished products or delivery conditions not covered by EN standards. The agreements shall be formalized by reference to this standard on the drawing, order or inspection schedule.
