This standard is applicable to signal generators supplying, to a rated load, signals of sine-wave and/or square-wave form either with amplitude and frequency unmodulated, or frequency modulated, amplitude modulated and/or on/off pulse modulated, or frequency swept. This standard is applicable to traditional signal generators using turnable oscillators, to synchronizers for use with these, and to synthesizers and sweep generators.
