This standard specifies the safety requirements related to the safety of people, the environment and property, which are requirements for the design, installation, operation and abandonment of pipeline systems. The requirements relate to pipeline systems for transport of substances both by land and by sea, and apply to newly built systems and to the modification of existing systems.
