scope:
Describes a method for determining the copper content of water by atomic absorption spectrometry. The flame technique is used. The standard applies to all types of water. The detection limit depends on the equipment used; in general, copper contents of 0,01 mg/l and above can be determined. For copper contents below 0,1 mg/l, use of the graphite oven technique is recommended (see (NEN 6454).
