This standard gives guidance on writing the technical specification for the procurement of dust emission reduction equipment associated with steam generating plant in the electrical power supply industry. This includes: a) mechanical Separators; b) Bag Filters; c) Electrostatic Precipitators. Some of the provisions may be applicable to steam generating plant for other applications. The equipment covered by this guide is related to its function rather than design type. Therefore the requirements are stated in performance terms rather than being specified by a detailed description of the equipment to be supplied.
