Describes a method of test which can be used to determine the simulated filter plugging point (SFPP) of automotive diesel fuels. The method described is applicable to distillate fuels, including those containing flow-improving or other additives, intended for use in automotive diesel engines and may be used to estimate the lowest temperature at which a fuel will give trouble-free operation in a diesel-engined vehicle.
