This standard describes a method for the titrimetric determination of the sulphite content of water. It applies to the examination of water in boiler plants to which sodium sulphate has been added to prevent oxygen corrosion. Volatile iodine consuming substances will interfere with the detmination. The interference by sulphide can be cancelled.
