scope:
This standard describes a method for the photometric determination of nitrate in rain water. It applies to rain water with a nitrate content of 1 to 200 µ mol/l of NO3- <=^> 0.62 to 124 mg/l). Aromatic hydrocarbons amounting to more than 10 mg/l will interfere. Nitrite can be removed with amido sulphuriic acid. The method is suitable for small amounts of analytic sample.
