This standard specifies a method for testing the leaktightness and strength of assembled end-load bearing joints of unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U) which allows a maximum angle of deflection of 3°. It is applicable to end-load bearing joints provided with elastomeric sealing rings and locking rings, intended for use with PVC-U pressure pipes. The method specifies the internal hydrostatic pressure, the method of calculation for the additional bending force and the procedure for the bending test.
