Applies to radiotherapy simulators using high voltage generators operating at a voltage not exceeding 400 kV complying with IEC 601-2-7 which use diagnostic X-ray equipment to geometrically simulate a radiotherapy radiation beam so that the treatment volume to be irradiated during radiotherapy can be localized and the position and size of the therapeutic radiation field can be confirmed. The object is to identify geometric parameters which are critical for the accurate simulation of a radiotherapy treatment and to recommend methods of measuring these parameters.
