This standard describes a method to determine the contents of eighteen organochloorepesticides (OCPs) and seven polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) of water. The method described is meant to indicate whether and to what degree water samples are polluted with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organochloropesticides (OCPs) by means of indicator chlorinated biphenyls and individual organochloropesticides. The standard applies to drinking water, groundwater and surface water.
