This standard applies to control cabinet air conditioners with electrically driven compressors. It does not apply to continuously variable capacity control units. It specifies minimum requirements which ensure that the air conditioner is fitted for the use designated by the air conditioner manufacturer. Except where otherwise stated, tests are made as described in the relevant parts of EN 814. This proposal also provides recommendations for the way the characteristics of air conditioners shall be specified by the manufacturer in order to assist users and manufacturers in the understanding and coparison of various types of air conditioners.
