This Technical Report specifies a method of test for the determination of the preventive action of a wood preservative against basidiomycetes fungi when the preservative is applied as a surface treatment to wood. This method is applicable to formulations of preservatives in a ready to use form as:- water-insoluble chemicals which are being studied as active fungicides, or organic formulations, as supplied or as prepared in the laboratory by dilution of concentrates; or - organic water-dispersible formulations as supplied or as prepared in the laboratory by dilution of concentrates; or - water-soluble materials, for axample salts.
