This section of Part 2 of IEC Publication 598 specifies safety requirements for air-handling luminaires for use with a ventilation duct or ventilated space (plenum), for use with tubular fluorescent lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 1000 V. It is to be read in conjunction with those sections of Part 1 to which reference is made. Attention is drawn to the fact that this section specifies only the safety aspects of air-handling luminaires; no requirements are specified at present for performance aspects.
