scope:

NTA 8545-2 provides a roadmap with a specification of requirements for MKM up to 2020. This NTA is applicable to knowledge management in maintenance activities in the process industry. This NTA is primarily targeted at the process industry plant engineering supply chain that comprises of asset owners, (EPC) contractors and equipment suppliers. The asset owner is the end client company which owns the assets and is responsible for operation and maintenance of the plants and installations. The (EPC) contractor is responsible for design, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning of the plant jointly with the asset owner. The equipment suppliers provide all equipment used to construct the plant. Most of the components are delivered by OEMs.
